GOOD MUSIC = GREAT WORKOUT

I adore music. Working out without music can only be done by me if I am participating in a class. Apart from that, working out without music simply does not motivate me.

Due to such an effect that music has on me I decided to provide you with a playlist that may be helpful and motivating when working out.

I divide my workouts into two sections. One is where I talk to myself in my mind, sing to myself and motivate myself, and the other is where I turn into a beast and scream on my last rep.

However, before I provide you with some of the songs/ stories that I listen to, I thought it would be interesting to post some information on how different genres correspond to our personality.

A STUDY OF PERSONALITY IN RELATION TO OUR MUSICAL PREFERENCES:

To break it down, here is the connection they have found:

  • Blues fans have high self-esteem, are creative, outgoing, gentle and at ease

  • Jazz fans have high self-esteem, are creative, outgoing and at ease

  • Classical music fans have high self-esteem, are creative, introvert and at ease

  • Rap fans have high self-esteem and are outgoing

  • Opera fans have high self-esteem, are creative and gentle

  • Country and western fans are hardworking and outgoing

  • Reggae fans have high self-esteem, are creative, not hardworking, outgoing, gentle and at ease

  • Dance fans are creative and outgoing but not gentle

  • Indie fans have low self-esteem, are creative, not hard working, and not gentle

  • Bollywood fans are creative and outgoing

  • Rock/heavy metal fans have low self-esteem, are creative, not hard-working, not outgoing, gentle, and at ease

  • Chart pop fans have high self-esteem, are hardworking, outgoing and gentle, but are not creative and not at ease

  • Soul fans have high self-esteem, are creative, outgoing, gentle, and at ease

Although I do not agree with all the statements, this is just something to start a discussion and experiment whether or not the theory works!
